Queen of Bookkeeping exists to help women entrepreneurs take the guesswork out of their finances. We provide accurate bookkeeping and strategic Fractional CFO services so you can see the full financial picture of your business, from daily transactions to high level growth strategy while leaving tax preparation to your CPA.

Our Story
Queen of Bookkeeping started in January 2016 in South Jordan, Utah, when a friend asked me to help with bookkeeping for her small business. I officially launched my solopreneur LLC with just one client, and for the first several months, it was more of a hobby, serving friends and family who owned small businesses. I created custom Excel workbooks for them to manage their finances, and in early 2017, I transitioned all clients to QuickBooks Online, which was new at the time.

In September 2016, after welcoming my second son, I realized I needed to grow my business. I took a part-time remote job with a CPA firm to gain more experience. After 2.5 years, I transitioned to a local CPA firm through referrals, but after tax season, there wasn’t enough work to keep me on full-time. At that point, my family relied on my business income, so I focused fully on building my own client base through networking.

In October 2019, my family moved to Eagle Mountain, Utah, and I continued growing my bookkeeping business remotely. All my clients worked via QuickBooks Online, so the transition was seamless. During COVID-19 in 2020, I helped clients apply for PPP and SBA loans to keep their businesses afloat, and I was fortunate to retain my entire client base.

In 2025, I restructured my pricing to better match client workloads and began offering Fractional CFO services at a discounted rate. While no clients formally signed on yet, this year has been a period of learning and growth as I refine my offerings. In 2026, I will implement a more structured billing plan that ensures precise, predictable pricing while maintaining high-quality service.

Looking Ahead, Queen of Bookkeeping is more than a bookkeeping firm, we’re a partner, educator, and advocate for women entrepreneurs. Whether through clean, accurate books or strategic financial guidance, our goal is to help women business owners stop guessing and start knowing. Most of my clients are women-owned service-based small businesses, though I also work with product-based businesses and male-owned businesses. I hope to expand my client base through programs like Goldman Sachs’ initiatives to support women entrepreneurs.

Why we don't offer Quarterly Bookkeeping or Tax Preparation?
Quarterly bookkeeping often means working with outdated financial information. When books are only reviewed every three months, errors, cash flow issues, and miscategorized transactions can go unnoticed for far too long. This delay makes it harder to understand how your business is truly performing and can lead to surprises at tax time or when making important financial decisions.
